Welcome to the Drijfpaleis!

A romantic boathouse built in a fantasy Tuscane-style, floating on the Rhine in the centre of Arnhem. Here you will find a holiday-feeling throughout the year. You will enter an another world within a few minutes walk from the Central Railwaystation, experience the peace of the flowing water, the bread begging geese and ducks, fishing cormorants and grebes, sometimes a kingfisher, a beautiful river landscape, the border between the Veluwe and the Betuwe.

Passing Cargo- and Cruise ships provides a gentl swell. Within a few hundred metres of the boat are all the big cities pleasures, pubs restaurants cinemas theatres and don't forget all the shops ! The tourist information office is nearby and has a lot information about the musea, Market Garden, nature parks, walking and cycling routes. You can rent a bike on the railway station. The Drijfpaleis has 3 guestrooms and a central room with a elementary kitchen, microwave, refrigerator, free coffee and tea. The beautiful big roof-terrace and the still changing Italian mozaikgarden is there for you. There's a large free parking-area on the Boterdijk, and I have extra places on my own area, when it's needed. The boat-cat 'kleine meid' doesn't accept other animals.
